Popular topic on MYOB Community forum. Some v19 users get to send 1 email before MYOB shuts down. Compatability issue with v19 and Office 2016. Some have better success using an alternative email program (such as EmClient) just for MYOB.

Good Luck

Hi Ian,

You need to set eMClient as the Default. MYOB will use the default email client.

You can continue to use Outlook for normal emailing, however eMClient needs to be set as the default. Takes a bit of doing to ensure MYOB picks up eMClient as the default but I managed to get it to work and have been able to send multiple emails at the same time via eMClient.

It's not really a case of MYOB keeping up with technology. I have read that Microsoft have changed something in one of their dll files for Office 2016 which has caused the problem. Normally changes are backward compatible so older software can keep using the dll.

Apparently MYOB is not the only program affected by this change. A few days ago I got hold of a fix for the Outlook issue. Can now continue to use Outlook 2016 and MYOB v19 with no problems. PM me your email address and I will send you the fix.
